Another great piece of public art, the antelope sculptures at the Moana Interchange were designed by Stantec Engineering as part of the Moana Diverging Diamond Interchange construction project. With our in-house water jet and experience in creating steel sculptures, Tutto Ferro was able to competitively bid and fabricate the sculptures that stand in the right of way spaces of the interchange. Created using corten steel and stainless steel plates with varying standoffs, the sculptures take on a 3 dimensional depth and lifelike posture on the hill as a driver passes by. Installed with assistance and coordination from Granite Construction, these sculptures are a great example of the kind of thing that can be created with a skilled staff and a water jet. We like to say of the water jet, ‘if you can draw it, we can cut it out’
