The Parlasca residence is a great example of what can be achieved with the design build approach. Looking at a home renovation as a blank canvas Tutto Ferro can bring dynamic and innovative design concepts together into a comprehensive and cohesive aesthetic. On this project, Tutto Ferro designed and installed a range of distinctive and functional features including custom pocket doors, a custom front door, backlit push-through acrylic and steel sculptural fire place cladding, and numerous other accents. Also included in the design build project is the custom fabricated stainless steel in-ground japanese soaking tub, custom fabricated hydronicaly heated towel racks, and a stainless steel sink/cabinet vanity. While steel is the metier of Tutto Ferro, the ipe and teak wood, the carefully troweled concrete topping and pearlescent door highlight the multifaceted expertise of Tutto Ferro as a ‘Finish Shop’ regardless of the media at hand. The exterior phase of this design build incorporated integrated hardwood and steel fencing and gates, various hot rolled steel planters and a patio comprised of a cohesive blend of concrete pedestals, steel accents with plantings punctuating the space throughout. At Tutto Ferro we enjoy collaborating with other professionals and on this particular project sought the assistance of Gordon Mangnin, a SciArch graduate to help develop and realize Paolo’s vision for the fire place cladding and the exterior concrete pedestal patio.
